The Glenlivet 15YO Single Malt Whisky 700ml

The 15 Year Old's distinctive character is the result of selective maturation; a proportion of the spirit is matured in a selection of French oak casks for a limited period, so as not to overpower the final result. The French oak increases the intensity of the whisky, resulting in a richer and creamier finish.

The Glenlivet Founder's Reserve Single Malt 1 Litre

To truly capture the essence of George Smith's vision, The Glenlivet Founder's Reserve has been created using the time-honoured distillation methods that he introduced so long ago. Made with water from the same crystal-clear mountain streams, in the same cold, pure air, The Glenlivet Founder's Reserve is as smooth and fruity as the whisky that first ran from the original copper pot stills. Boasting the classic flavours of The Glenlivet bound up in a creamy, smooth texture, this expression is our tribute to the one who started it all.

Tamnavulin Sherry Cask Edition 700ml

The softer side of Speyside is on show in this deeply coloured Tamnavulin. Finished in three different types of sherry casks, the nose offers a delicate and gently sweet sherry infusion leaving the malt intact, American oak adding an undercurrent of vanillas. At first dryish and Oloroso-like, by mid palate this develops impressive weight and mouthfeel with a brief burst of fruit cake and a thrust of warming spices. The finish lingers with more dried fruits (think PX), bitter peel and a late succulence. The wine input is sensitively handled, and at just 40%, the depth of flavour unexpected. Prepare to be surprised

Tamnavulin Double Cask Speyside Single Malt 700ml

Tamnavulin Double Cask was the first release from the distillery since the 1990s! Over the past 20 or so years, the distillery changed hands from Invergordon Distillers to Whyte & MacKay, closed a few years later and reopened in 2007. Much of its single malt output is used in blends, but a few casks of single malt would sneak out as indie bottlings to allow us a rare taste of Tamnavulin - but now they've got their very own expression! They initially mature it in American oak barrels before treating them to a finishing period in Sherry casks. Nose: Chocolate mousse, extra thick double cream with a dusting of brown sugar, stewed apples and blackberries. Palate: Christmas pudding, chocolate brownies, yellow plum and toffee-coated barley. Finish: Spiced rum sweetness lingers on the finish.

Clynelish 14YO Single Malt Scotch Whisky 700ml

One of the most distinct whiskies from the Highland's, Clynelish is renowned for it's notes of light brown sugar, cooking toffee and a delicate perfumed and waxy characteristic. The initial sweetness is complimented by a mouth coating oily/waxyness and just a touch of tangy sea-air salt.

Aberfeldy 12YO 700ml

This whisky is the flagship single malt from the Highland distillery of Aberfeldy. It has just recently been re-launched with new packaging and focuses on numerous aspects of the distillery's history and heritage, with the gold lettering paying homage to the discovery of gold particles in the local river. Built by the Dewar family in 1898 on the edge of Highland Perthshire, Aberfeldy Distillery produces a fine and sophisticated Highland single malt Scotch whisky. Reserved for years as the heart of DEWAR'S blends, limited quantities of Aberfeldy single malt whisky are now available. Almost incense-like, heather honey with a fruity softness, notes of pineapple, toast and cereal. Syrupy, lingering on the tongue like a liqueur. Full bodied with full flavour, the perfume characteristics become more spicy, with a bitter hint of Seville oranges in a decidedly dry finish.

Ardbeg Wee Beastie 5 Year Old 700ml

Commercial description At just 5 years old, this feisty and intensely powerful smoky whisky, is untamed by age. From elusive sea creatures to eerie hillside half-breeds, the Ardbeg Distillery has a history of exploring inexplicable legends in their bottlings. However, this next unearthly expression is said to have emerged from the peat bogs of Islay themselves. Ardbeg Wee Beastie has been described as a ‘monster of a dram’… with a formidable bite. Matured in ex-bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks, Wee Beastie bristles with intense aromas of cracked black pepper, sappy pine resin and sharp tangs of smoke. An explosive mouthfeel bursts forth with chocolate, creosote and tar. As savoury meats sink into the palate, the long salty mouth coating finish slinks away. Aroma: Very fresh, herbal, with hints of vanilla, pear, freshly cracked black pepper and honey-glazed ham. Rich Turkish coffee, sappy pine resin. With water, more herbal notes like vetiver and fennel, along with aniseed, green apple and leather. Taste: A rich, explosive mouthfeel with lots of chocolate, tar, creosote and smoked bacon, followed by a burst of antiseptic lozenges, eucalyptus and more aniseed. Finish: A long, salty and mouthcoating finish with hints of cocoa, fudge and savoury meats. Casks: Ex-bourbon and Oloroso sherry Alc 47.4%

Lindores Abbey MCDXCIV 700ml

The first commercially available whisky from the Lindores Abbey has arrived! There's a fascinating story behind this one – Lindores Abbey is the officially recognised site of the first recorded distillation of Scotch whisky, all the way back in 1494, when King James IV commissioned Brother John Cor to make aqua vitae with eight bolls of malt.
