In deepest rural Ireland, on the edge of a lake in Drumshanbo, Co Leitrim, is home of The Shed Distillery and PJ Rigney. PJ created The Shed Distillery with its medieval copper pot stills and began a quest to fuse oriental botanicals with the local Irish ones. As it turned out, they got on very well indeed. The result of this passionate exploration is Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin - unique, extraordinary, and remarkable, all bottled and labelled by local hands at the distillery

Sipsmith London Dry Gin is a classic London dry style gin, it uses 10 botanicals in its maceration: Juniper berries, Coriander Seed, Angelica Root, Liquorice Root, Orris Root, Ground Almond, Cassia Bark, Cinnamon, Orange Peel and Lemon Peel. "Sipsmith was established in London in 2009. The first copper-pot based distillery to start up in London in 189 years, it is one of only four gin distilleries located within London's city limits. Sipsmith was launched by Sam Galsworthy and Fairfax Hall, respectively former Fuller’s and Diageo employees.

Etsu Gin is made in Hokkaido by the Asahikawa distillery, Etsu means jubilation or joy in Japanese. It’s a floral extravaganza with some botanicals you won’t find in non-Nippon Gins, like green tea leaves, sansho pepper, and yuzu, the endemic Japanese citrus that tastes sort of like grapefruit. Asahikawa distillery make Etsu following a secret recipe, sourcing the water from Taisetsu mountains and filtering it through charcoal. The Spirit comes in a lovely bottle with a geisha sitting in a yuzu leaf. Floral nose with hints of yuzu and citrus. Fresh flavours of peppers with hints of berries and green tea. Spicy finish with notes of sansho pepper and yuzu

fter 10 years of making whisky, Kavalan master blender Ian Chang wanted to try his hand at creating a gin. Staying true to the standard botanicals of juniper, aniseed and coriander, Chang also included a taste of Yilan—Kavalan's home— with kumquat peel, dried star fruit and red-flesh guava botanical extracts. The gin is double charcoal-filtered, triple distilled and bottled at 40% ABV. Kavalan Gin opens up on very nutty and rooty notes, with angelica, almond, hazelnut paste, before juniper and aniseed get any say. It is chocolate-y almost. The palate makes way for a whisper of vanilla and honeysuckle, and it is slightly resinous with notes of kumquat and other citrus Alc. 40%
